I had purchased a pink and white infant blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned several rattles and other baby toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then showed the little ensembles that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower decorations for the presents table by placing a big stuffed bear into the bassinet. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower! For the food service table we had an array of freshly cut flowers from the local florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, together with a cake that was festooned with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket. We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very nice and we wouldn't have to spend plenty of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations because they would all be sent home as presents to our niece. We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received several very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the baby shower party in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the pregnancy she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower party was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
